I am a breakfast kind of girl! When thinking about some of my favourite foods McDonald’s hash browns, waffles, french toast, croissants, fresh fruit, sausage and bacon come to mind!
I also love easy breakfasts! French toast is such an easy breakfast to make and everyone in my house hold loves it! (Could that be because I let the kids put chocolate sauce and chocolate chips on their french toast? Perhaps….)
If you google french toast recipes some tell you need to add in vanilla and nutmeg and all sorts of extras. Which probably tastes really yummy but keeping things easy I don’t use all those extras…
- Some sliced bread – I like my bread to be fairly thick and white
Instructions: Crack two eggs into a bowl, add 1/4 cup of milk, add a fair few sprinkles of cinnamon. Don’t be shy with the cinnamon otherwise I find you really can’t taste it… mix it altogether. Put some butter in your pan on medium heat and dip your bread into the mixture so its nice and covered on both sides but it in your pan with the melted butter (to prevent the bread from sticking) wait a minute or 2 before flipping the bread over it should look a nice golden brown colour. Once both sides of that golden brown colour your done! This mixture should make roughly 6 pieces.
Add whatever toppings you want…cinnamon and maple syrup is yummy. Or my personal favourite is loading it with whip cream and fresh fruit is there anything better?!
Seriously how good does mine look?! Whip cream, bananas, raspberries and more cinnamon!!!
